Saint Francis University and Chengdu Jincheng College Signed MOU to Foster Collaborative Development

A delegation of more than 40 representatives from Chengdu Jincheng College visited Saint Francis University (SFU) for an academic exchange and engagement. The delegation was received by Prof. Stephen Cheung Yan-Leung, President of SFU, together with faculty Deans and senior administrative leaders. Discussion focused on academic collaboration, faculty and student exchange, and talent development. The visit concluded with the signing of a MOU, which signified a shared aspiration for a long-term partnership and marked a significant milestone in SFU's strategic engagement across Mainland China.

The Chengdu Jincheng College delegation was led by senior leadership and included a distinguished group of representatives, including: Mr. Feng Zhengguang, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President; Ms. Jiang Na, Standing Committee Member and Director of the Organization Department; Mr. Li Jiali, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Dean of the School of International Education; Mr. Wang Hongbing, Director of the Library; Ms. Zhou Aiping, Director of the General Affairs Office; Mr. Ma Jizheng, Director of Admissions; and Mr. Xiong Yongfu, Director of the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, alongside deans of various schools and faculty members.

Representing SFU were Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-Leung, President; Professor Eric Chan, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, with Associate Deans Dr. Carol Chan and Dr. Ita Fung; Professor Anthony Chan, Dean of the School of Computing and Information Sciences; Mr. Gary Lam, Head of the Department of Design; Dr. Aries Chan, Head of the Global and Mainland Engagement Division; and Ms. Janny Chan, Registrar, together with other senior administrative leaders.

During the meeting, Prof. Stephen Cheung extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and introduced SFU's positioning as a university of applied sciences in Hong Kong. He highlighted the University's professionally oriented programmes, its initiatives in faculty and student development, and its engagement work with higher education sector in the Mainland China. Mr. Feng shared the academic and institutional achievements of Chengdu Jincheng College and expressed keen interest in further strengthening long-term collaboration with SFU.

Looking ahead, both institutions will actively promote diversified and multi-level educational exchange initiatives, strengthen the higher education bridge between Sichuan and Hong Kong, provide students from both regions with broader opportunity for further studies and development, and facilitate the sharing of educational resources.
