Sarcopenia and Fall Screening Day was successfully held in ICEC on 11 and 18 March 2026. Designed to promote sarcopenia prevention and fall risk management, participants underwent personalized screening and assessment conducted by our physiotherapists and physiotherapy students from muscle strength tests, mobility tests and bioelectrical impedance analysis. All participants gained valuable insights into sarcopenia, fall prevention strategies and exercises for healthy aging.

Running Gait Assessment Workshop｜SFU Running Club

In a successful collaboration between ICEC and the SFU Running Club, we hosted an engaging seminar and running gait assessment workshop designed to promote injury prevention and enhance running performance.

Participants gained valuable insights into running techniques and biomechanics, followed by personalized gait evaluation conducted by our physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.

On-Site Physiotherapy Support｜SFU Basketball Team

Tiu Keng Leng Sports Centre

ICEC provided on-field physiotherapy support for the SFU basketball team, ensuring players stay in peak condition during intense games. During the matches, our physiotherapists and student team were on standby to deliver immediate injury assessment, muscle relaxation, and taping care—helping prevent sports injuries and promoting quick recovery.

This support not only strengthened students' clinical decision-making and acute care skills but also highlighted the vital role of physiotherapy in athletic performance and safety. A big thank you to the SFU basketball team for their trust and collaboration. Together, we safeguard athletes' health and look forward to more exciting games ahead!

Volunteer-based Musculoskeletal Screening Outreach Service

HKIA Tower 2, Hong Kong international Airport

The Physiotherapy Integrated Clinical Education Centre (ICEC) at Saint Francis University was invited to provide volunteer-based musculoskeletal screening outreach services at the Airport Security Company.

Our physiotherapists and students conducted a series of functional assessments. This workshop not only enhanced students' clinical competencies through hands-on practice, but also advanced the application and promotion of physiotherapy in community health initiatives.

Fanling Public School

The Physiotherapy Integrated Clinical Education Centre at SFU recently visited Fanling Public School for an exciting outreach workshop on Musculoskeletal Pain Management!

Our dedicated physiotherapists and passionate students delivered a health talk, followed by stretching, strengthening, and aerobic exercises — all tailored to promote better musculoskeletal health.

This hands-on experience not only enriched our students' clinical exposure but also showcased how physiotherapy can empower community wellness. We're thrilled by the enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from everyone involved.

Sports Injury Prevention × Taping Workshop

Shatin Tsung Tsin Secondary School

The Integrated Clinical Education Centre (ICEC) of Saint Francis University visited Shatin Tsung Tsin Secondary School to deliver an outreach program: "Sports Injury Prevention & Sports Taping Workshop"! The event featured ICEC's registered physiotherapists, who shared sports injury prevention tips and taping techniques. The workshop was filled with vibrant energy, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of all students!

Highlights of the event:

Common basketball & volleyball injuries + prevention strategies
Hands-on practice of "soft landing techniques" to enhance knee stability
Step-by-step guidance on kinesiology taping/sports taping applications
Physiotherapists provided personalized feedback to correct altered movement patterns

Women’s Health Awareness Day

In Celebration of International Women's Day, the Integrated Clinical Education Centre (ICEC) of Saint Francis University and the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation jointly hosted the "Women's Health Awareness Day".

The event featured a lineup of professional speakers, including registered nurses, dietitians, fitness coaches from the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation, and registered physiotherapists from ICEC. Attendees enjoyed engaging health education talks and hands-on exercise experiences.

The aim of the event was to raise community awareness about women's health through diverse and interactive experiences. Following the event, participants shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, reflecting a high level of satisfaction!
