Personal Information

Most people know him as "Chi‑san." He is the Programme Leader of the Higher Diploma in Film & Media Production (HDFMP) at the Irene Lam Department of Design, Saint Francis University. In addition to his academic role, he has been actively engaged in Hong Kong's film industry in various capacities. Since graduating from Shu Yan College, he has worked extensively across all stages of production—including pre‑production, production, post‑production, and distribution—for films, television series, and animations. Over the years, he has accumulated rich professional experience in diverse roles such as executive producer, director, line producer, scriptwriter, post‑production director, distribution manager, and brand builder. To date, his name has been credited in more than 200 local Hong Kong productions.

Education

Chi‑san obtained a Higher Diploma in Business Management from Shu Yan College, followed by a Master of Arts in Producing for Film, Television, and New Media from Hong Kong Baptist University.  Building on his extensive experience in film production, he has also collaborated closely with government officials to support the implementation of public policies aimed at fostering the development of the local film industry.  Notable initiatives he has been involved in include the First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI) and the Film Professionals Training Programme, both of which are dedicated to nurturing new talent and cultivating the next generation of film professionals.

Professional Qualifications / Memberships

Chi‑san served as the President of the Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4) from 2019 to 2023 and was subsequently appointed as its Permanent Honorary President from 2024 onward.  He was also the Vice President of the Asian Comic & Animation Culture Association between 2016 and 2019.  In addition, he served as a Director of the Hong Kong Film Awards Association (香港電影金像獎) from 2019 to 2023.
