On 21 April 2026, the Shenzhen Qianhai Government successfully hosted the launch ceremony of the Bay Area Board Governance Academy, themed Empowering Listco Directors' Professional Growth to Support Companies' Hong Kong IPO Journey. Held at the Qianhai Innovation Headquarters, the event brought together distinguished professionals from Hong Kong and the wider Greater Bay Area to explore emerging opportunities, key compliance priorities, and the practical cross-border capital market needs of enterprises seeking to access Hong Kong's listing ecosystem.
With sincere appreciation, School Dean Professor Susana Yuen and Associate Professor of Practice Mr Dixon Wong were invited to attend and support the ceremony.
The programme featured leadership remarks, the execution of a strategic cooperation agreement, and the official launch ceremony of the Academy. Participants also took part in a substantive session on Hong Kong capital market opportunities and essential listing compliance points, followed by a roundtable discussion examining the challenges and practical solutions for Red-Chip/structure-related pathways to Hong Kong listings. The event further included a briefing on cross-border talent policy initiatives and concluded with open dialogue and networking among industry peers.
Looking ahead, the Academy is expected to serve as a sustained professional platform supporting directors, governance practitioners, and enterprise teams in navigating Hong Kong's regulatory requirements while capitalising on capital market opportunities with greater confidence.
