Hi everyone, my name is Ann Yeung. I am delighted to join Saint Francis University this year. I hold a BA in Teaching English as a Second Language and an MA in Linguistics and Communication. After completing my undergraduate studies, I began my career as an English lecturer in higher education institutions. I have taught a wide range of courses, including Academic English, IELTS, English for Specific Purposes, English Grammar, and Workplace English.
I received my Doctoral Degree in Applied Language Sciences from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in November 2023, with my thesis focusing on the application of corpus linguistics in language teaching and learning. My research interests include academic writing, corpus linguistics, data-driven learning, curriculum and materials design, and language assessment.
As an educator, I am committed to equipping students with the necessary language skills for studies and work and inspiring their passion for lifelong learning. I am also eager to collaborate with more colleagues to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for our students.
