The programme features a progressive practicum framework, enabling students to integrate theory with practice in early childhood education settings.
Prior to their practicum placements, students participate in a series of pre-practicum preparation workshops, e.g. practicum briefings, teaching props design, lesson plans writing, professional expectations. These workshops help students build confidence and develop a professional identity before entering the workplace.
In addition, the programme organises field visits and school observations to a range of early childhood education institutions, including child care centres and kindergartens. Through these visits, students gain a deeper understanding of different institutional contexts, operational models, learning environments, ensuring they are well prepared for practicum experiences and future professional development.
