Programme Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the BATT programme, students should be able to:
- acquire major translation strategies and knowledge of key issues in translation technology;
- demonstrate sound skills and techniques of translation and interpreting in work-based settings;
- apply the acquired knowledge and concepts of translation technology to work and study;
- use appropriate technological, linguistic, and theoretical theories in the production and evaluation of translated texts for work purposes;
- use specific tools and translation systems to increase productivity and enhance cost-effectiveness in the industry;
- develop an ability in critical thinking; and
- acquire the generic qualities and skills of a humanities student as well as a technology professional
