Professional Qualifications & Career Pathway
The programme is validated by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), recognised by the Education Bureau, and approved by the Social Welfare Department (SWD).
Graduates are eligible to register as:
- Qualified Kindergarten Teachers (QKT);
- Child Care Workers (CCW);
- Child Care Supervisors (CCS)；and
- Special Child Care Worker (SCCW)
Students who have completed the programme are eligible for:
- Kindergarten
- Nursery school
- Creche
- Special child care centre
- Early intervention centre
- Early education and training centre
- On-site Preschool Rehabilitation Services (OPRS)
- Playgroup
- Children books/ teaching materials publisher
- Community centre
Salary Ranges for teaching staff under the Kinderagrten Education Scheme: HK$23,360 to 41,540 (Details please refers to EDB Circular Memorandum no.122/2022)
Education Pathway:
- Enrolling on a master programme in early childhood education offered by the local universities and tertiary institutes;
- Enrolling on Kindergarten Principalship Course, together with relevant working experience.
