Deanship / Headship Positions

Director of Student Affairs (Ref.: 26/75/SAO/D)
Duties

The Director of Student Affairs will assist the University in formulating, implementing and reviewing systems, strategies and plans for student development and support.

The appointee will head the Student Affairs Office with a team of professional staff and oversee the provision of co-curriculum including whole-person development, service learning, sport development, global exposure, counseling, support for non-local and SEN students, career planning and guidance, alumni affairs etc…

He/ She is also expected to act as a liaison person between students and the University, and work closely with academic schools/ departments, administrative units and student groups to cultivate a campus environment conductive to teaching, learning, campus life and wellness.

Appointment Criteria
  • Good academic and professional qualifications, preferably at a post-graduate degree level;
  • Proven track record of management experience and serving youth in the tertiary education setting;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills; and
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Director, Information Technology Services Centre (Ref.: 25/138/ITSC/D)
Duties Responsible for (i) heading and managing the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC); (ii) providing technical advice and assuming the overall control and planning of the various aspects of computer application in both teaching and administration; and (iii) supervising staff members of the Information Technology Services Centre with appropriate guidance, training and development.
Appointment Criteria

Applicants should: (i) have a recognised postgraduate degree, preferably doctoral degree; (ii) have extensive (at least 5 years') and relevant post-qualification administrative experience at managerial level, preferably in a similar position in local / overseas higher education institutions; and (iii) have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Preference will be given to applicants who are immediately available and with relevant experience.
