Research / Project Positions

The appointee will be responsible (a) assist in the development, training, and deployment of AI/Machine Learning models tailored for healthcare data; (b) support the integration and testing of IoT biosensors and remote monitoring devices; (c) collect, clean, and analyze clinical and health-related datasets; (d) collaborate with clinical partners to ensure technical solutions align with real-world healthcare needs; (e) contribute to academic papers, research reports, and grant proposals; and (f) manage day-to-day project logistics and documentation.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Health Science-related field (e.g., Biomedical Science, Health Informatics, Nursing, Public Health) with a strong quantitative background, OR a degree in Biomedical Engineering / Computer Science with a heavy emphasis on healthcare applications; (ii) strong programming skills in Python or R (experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn is highly preferred); (iii) solid understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or statistical modeling techniques; (iv) familiarity with IoT concepts, data acquisition, or sensor technology; (v) excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration (tech and health); (vi) prior experience in a research environment or writing academic literature; and (vii) strong problem-solving skills and a passion for digital health innovation.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or currently enrolled in a postgraduate program) in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electronic, Systems, or Biomedical Engineering with a strong structural/mechatronics focus); (ii) strong programming skills in Python or MATLAB (experience with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is highly preferred); (iii) solid understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or statistical signal processing; (iv) ability to interpret data related to structural mechanics, vibrations, or kinematics; (v) experience working with IoT hardware, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi), or edge computing, (vi) strong problem-solving abilities and a self-driven attitude toward research; and (vii) good written and verbal communication skills.

The appointee will be responsible to:

1. conduct literature review
2. perform data analysis and compile research reports
3. prepare materials for conference presentations and publications
4. perform other duties as assigned

Applicants should: 

• have a recognized bachelor degree or above in data sciences or relevant disciplines
• with proficiency in SPSS / Python / LLM and other computer software
• possess strong knowledge and skills in data analysis for project evaluations
• have good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

The appointee will play a key role in supporting a research project focused on "Psychological".
Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in the management of the project;
2. Coordinating with collaborative partners and project team;
3. Providing support for the preparation of research material;
4. Assisting in recruitment, data collection, data entry and data analysis;
5. Conducting literature search;
6. Assisting in the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and reports; and
7. Performing any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

• Have a recognized degree or higher in Nursing, Social Sciences, Psychology or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;
• Have research knowledge related to, and skills in conducting quantitative studies;
• Proficiency in computer knowledge such as MS Office, SPSS
• Have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Have a good interpersonal and communication skills; and
• Be able to work independently.

The Research Assistants (1) will play a key role in supporting a research project "Comparative Critical Discourse Analysis of Song Lyrics (1964 to 1969) alongside the British Invasion to the U.S. & Second-Wave Feminism Discourse-Historical Approach " focusing on data analysis of the qualitative data from lyrics by following the introduced analytical framework; (2) will work closely with the Principal Investigator; (3) will be responsible for various tasks, including data analysis and drafting research manuscripts for presentation/publication in conferences/journals; (4) may be required to assist in other related tasks as needed; (5) display the ability to work independently and to demonstrate willingness to learn.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized bachelor's degree or Sub-degree in any disciplines (preferably in Digital entertainment, IT or related disciplines concerning statistics); (b) research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken English; and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will assist in the research project on: (a) administrative and coordinating work (b) collecting data and pre-processing them for analysis; (c) preparing reports / presentations based on the data; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized Bachelor's degree, preferrable if in an inter-disciplinary field; (b) solid research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken English; and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will assist in the research project on: (a) administrative and coordinating work (b) collecting data and pre-processing them for analysis; (c) preparing reports / presentations based on the data; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.

The appointee will assist in the research project on: (a) administrative and coordinating work (b) collecting data and pre-processing them for experiments; (c) recruiting participants in experiments; (d) annotating data; (e) managing and updating datasets; (f) preparing reports; and (g) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized Bachelor's degree in humanities field; (b) solid research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken English; and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will be responsible to assist with the administrative duties and conduction of the research project. Tasks include: (a) literature review; (b) making arrangement to ensure a smooth research study; (c) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (d) preparing publications and reports; and (e) performing other assigned duties.

Applicants should have (i) a bachelor's degree or above in health sciences or healthcare-related disciplines; (ii) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of mixed-methods research and survey design; (iii) knowledge in public health, community health and primary healthcare; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and (v) good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.  Those with 3 years' relevant experience or more may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and the research team to support the research project. Duties include literature review, data collection and analysis, project management, report and manuscript writing and other related responsibilities as required. The appointee should be able to work independently and communicate in English and Chinese.

Applicants should possess at least a bachelor's degree in social science or relevant disciplines, with proficiency in SPSS/R/Python and other computer software, have knowledge and research skills in both quantitative and qualitative research, and/or have relevant research experience.

Appointment will be made on contract basis, which can be renewed thereafter subject to funds available.

The appointees will be responsible for various tasks relating to the Chinese culture project, which include (a) coordinating research design; (b) overseeing data collection and analysis; (c) writing academic publications and reports; (d) editing book series and academic journals; (e) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a doctoral degree in the humanities or relevant fields; (b) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of qualitative research; (c) strong background in research; (d) ability to work independently; (e) proficiency in writing in English and Chinese; (f) proficiency in communication and presentation skills.

The appointees will (a) assist the work of painting, drawing, animation, video production, and photography relating to the Chinese culture project; (b) assist the work of data collection and analysis; and (c) perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in the humanities or relevant fields; (b) knowledge and skills of computer graphics; and (c) have good communication skills and sense of responsibility.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators under Caregiving Research and Development Centre. His/her task will include (i) event planning and management; (ii) assisting in drafting operational manuals, training materials, powerpoints, forms, templates and reports; (iii) assisting in video shooting, editing and drafting subtitles; (iv) arranging and assisting to conduct interviews & focus groups as well as designing survey questionnaires and collecting quantitative data; (v) conducting data analysis of the verbatim transcription with software e.g., Nvivo and/or quantitative data with SPSS; (v) drafting research manuscripts and other presentation materials for presentation/publication in conferences/journals; (vi) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a Master's/MPhil degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline; (ii) rich experiences in event planning and management; (iii) solid training and experience in research methods and data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative; (iv) excellent English and Chinese proficiency; (v) a minimum of two years of relevant research experience.

The appointee will be responsible (a) collect and analyze data to evaluate the performance of the wet electrostatic precipitators and propose improvements; (b) contribute to the publication of research findings in scientific journals and present results at conferences; (c) work closely with the project lead and team members to ensure the project's objectives are met; and (d) assist in the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines; (ii) have experience in statistical data; (iii) be able to work independently; (iv) have good communication and interpersonal skills; and (v) have good English writing skills. Applicants with publication experience are preferred.
