Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord and Friends,

This year marks the second anniversary of Saint Francis University (SFU). On 9 January 2024, SFU was officially granted university status by the Chief Executive and Executive Council of the Hong Kong SAR. Later that year, on 1 November, SFU was recognised by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR as the second University of Applied Sciences in Hong Kong. These milestones demonstrate SFU's dedication to empowering young people through education that fosters upward mobility and nurtures well-rounded professionals who embody competence and integrity, to serve society and contribute to our nation.

The origins of SFU can be traced to the establishment of Caritas Francis Hsu College in 1985. Throughout the past four decades, the transformation into SFU was made possible by Divine Providence, the support and generosity of the Catholic community, benefactors, and friends from all walks of life. On behalf of the University, I extend my sincere gratitude to all who have supported and accompanied us along this journey.

As our student community continues to grow, we are moving forward with a campus expansion project in Sha Tin to create an even more vibrant environment for learning and personal development.

Education is, at its heart, a mission of hope. I sincerely invite you to join SFU in shaping a brighter future for young people through your prayers, encouragement, and generous support, so that together, we may contribute to the greater glory of God.
