Saint Francis University and Providence University Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Cross Strait Four Regions Academic Exchanges

On 26 February 2026, Saint Francis University (SFU) and Providence University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate multi-faceted collaboration, jointly nurture young talents, and strengthen Cross Strait Four Regions higher education exchanges.

The signing ceremony was held at SFU. Distinguished guests from Providence University included Dr. Ling Ssu-Ling, President; Mr. Tsai Ying-Te, Dean of the International College and Professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Application; and Ms. Chiu Hui-Chuan, Executive Secretary of the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs and Head of the International Exchange Section. Representing SFU were Professor Stephen Y.L. Cheung, President; and Dr. Aries Chan, Assistant Director of the Public Affairs Office (Recruitment and Engagement) and Head of Global and Mainland Engagement, together with her team.

SFU places special emphasis on fostering students' global perspectives and sense of social responsibility, with a commitment to cultivating outstanding talents who embody the qualities of global citizenship. The partnership will promote faculty and student exchanges, academic research and collaboration, and resource sharing between the two universities, further deepening their long-standing friendship.

Both institutions will continue expanding areas of cooperation and jointly contribute to the innovative development of higher education.
