Saint Francis University and BINUS University Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Forge Bilateral Partnership for Academic Collaboration

On 27 February 2026, Saint Francis University (SFU) and BINUS University of Indonesia officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The two institutions explored collaboration opportunities including in the areas of Business, Hospitality, Fashion Design, and Film Production — with the shared goal of nurturing high-calibre talents equipped with professional and strong crosscultural competence.

The signing ceremony was successfully held on the SFU campus.
The BINUS University's delegation included Dr. Rini Setiowati, Vice Rector on Collaboration and Global Engagement, Ms. Theodora Subyantoro, Strategic Collaboration Manager, and Ms. Lydia Sin, Programme and Collaboration Section Head for International Collaboration. SFU's representatives included Dr. Kat Leung,  Vice President (Administration) and Institute Secretary, Dr. Aries Chan, Assistant Director of Public Affairs Office (Recruitment and Enagement), and Ms. Josephine Chan, Assistant Manager (Recruitment and Engagement). The two institutions have demonstrated strong commitment to this collaboration.

This MOU marks an important step in SFU's efforts to expand its presence in Southeast Asia and to promote regional academic exchange. Going forward, the institutions will embark on a series of initiatives including social work placement project, faculty and student exchanges, academic collaboration, and overseas internship schemes. With this new collaborative platform, SFU's students will have the opportunity to join BINUS University's professional internship programmes, gain hands-on experience and broaden their international exposure.
