27 Feb 2026

From 23 to 27 February, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As an Applied Science University in Hong Kong, Saint Francis University (SFU) actively participated in this major international education event to connect with global academic network and advance the university's internationalisation strategy.

As one of the three major international education conferences in the world, this year's APAIE brought together nearly 3,000 international education leaders, experts, and scholars from over 70 countries. More than 450 universities and institutions joined the exhibition, with nearly 130 sessions of conferences and seminars exploring the latest trends in higher education. The event plays a crucial role in promoting the "Study in Hong Kong" Brand, expanding collaboration networks among Hong Kong's higher education institutions, and reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a premier global hub for higher education. Leveraging the APAIE platform, the SFU delegation introduced the University's educational philosophy and the distinctive strengths as an Applied Science University, showcased the excellence of Hong Kong's higher education and professional education sector, and promoted the "Study in Hong Kong" Brand worldwide.

During the event, SFU signed Memorandums of Understanding with Fu Jen Catholic University, Providence University, and BINUS University respectively, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, academic collaboration, and joint research. The university also achieved fruitful outcomes and established collaborative intentions with various overseas institutions.

Looking ahead, SFU will continue to broaden platforms for international collaboration, expand its global partnership network, and elevate its international reputation, and foster high-calibre talents equipped with applied knowledge, professional competence, and global vision.
