On March 10, Saint Francis University (SFU) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony on campus with De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), a renowned university in the Philippines.
Both SFU and DLSU-D are members of the Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU), and share a strong commitment to advancing the internationalisation of higher education and fostering cross-cultural talents. SFU President Prof. Stephen Cheung Yan-Leung and DLSU-D President Brother Iñigo Riola FSC attended the ceremony and signed the MoU, marking an important milestone in the bilateral collaboration between the two universities.
SFU has been actively strengthening its internationalisation initiatives. While continuing to deepening engagement in the Mainland China market, the University also places emphasis on building collaborations with higher education institutions across neighbouring countries and regions, particularly in Southeast Asia. The partnership signifies a meaninful advancement of SFU's presence in the Southeast Asian academic landscape.
Moving forward, the two universities will explore collaborations in areas including student exchange, academic research, faculty and student visits, and the sharing of teaching resources. These initiatives aim to promote cross-border learning and cultural exchange, cultivating talents with strong global outlook. Leveraging the recognized strengthens of DLSU-D in business, computer science, and the social sciences, the partnership will further expand international exchange opportunities for SFU's faculty and students.
