At the invitation of local government authorities and educational institutions, a delegation from Saint Francis University comprising representatives from the Office of Global and Mainland Affairs as well as deans, associate deans, and professors from two faculties, paid a visit to Yuexiu District in Guangzhou from 23 to 24 June 2025. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions focused on educational collaboration, talent development, and the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies—laying a strong foundation for future cooperation in education and technology between the two regions.

The delegation met with leaders from the United Front Work Department of Yuexiu District on 23 June. The meeting explored Saint Francis University's enrolment strategies in Mainland China, talent development frameworks, and opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence and resource integration.

The delegation visited the prestigious Guangzhou Pui Ching Middle School, accompanied by district officials, Party Secretary Zhang Zhihong, and Principal Yang Xianming on 24 June. The group gained insights into the school's curriculum structure, educational philosophy, and campus culture. The discussion also covered study opportunities in Hong Kong and the career prospects for Mainland students.

Founded in 1889, Guangzhou Pui Ching Middle School is a national-level model secondary school located in Yuexiu District and serves as the flagship institution of the Pui Ching Education Group. Spanning nearly 70,000 square metres, the school currently offers 70 classes across junior and senior levels, with a student population of around 3,400. Over the decades, it has cultivated many distinguished alumni, including celebrated composer Xian Xinghai, Fields Medal recipient Professor Shing-Tung Yau, and Nobel Laureate Professor Daniel Tsui—earning it the reputation of "Nankai in the North, Pui Ching in the South."
