Message from Saint Francis University Global and Mainland Engagement Division at the Opening Ceremony of the 15th National Games

24 Nov 2025

On the evening of November 9, the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center shone brilliantly as tens of thousands gathered to witness the historic opening of the 15th National Games. Together with my team, standing among the passionate energy of sixty thousand spectators, I felt profound honour and emotion at this momentous occasion. This grand sports event, jointly presented by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, is not only a vivid practice and remarkable interpretation of "One Country, Two Systems" in the field of sports, but also, through the "Circling as One" as its creative core, portrayed the harmony of Chinese heritage and Greater Bay Area vitality.

Our participation is both the recognition of our role in strengthening Mainland exchanges and a responsibility to continue building connection. As a vital bridge linking the University with Mainland China and the global world, we firmly believe that cross‑regional educational exchange and cultural interaction are important bonds for building consensus on development and creating a better future together.

Looking ahead, we will continue to uphold the spirit of "promoting China's outstanding traditional culture and embracing technological innovation," advancing youth cultural exchange and educational resource sharing. By engaging with our University's platform, international friends can immerse themselves in the depth of Chinese culture and the vitality of China's progress, while showcasing our distinguished educational philosophy and unique achievements more brilliantly worldwide.

Experiencing this "A Passionate National Games, A Dynamic Greater Bay Area" celebration has further enhanced our determination to move steadily forward in educational cooperation, cultural communication, and deepening international influence. In the future, we will persist in taking practical steps to promoting cross‑regional collaboration and contribute to building a solid bridge of connectivity between China and the world.
