The Physiotherapy Programme of the S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences of the Saint Francis University (SFU) will participate in the first"Sun Life Hong Kong Open Division Men's and Women's Basketball League 2025" organised by the Basketball Association of Hong Kong, China, by arranging for professional physiotherapists to be stationed on the court with the Physiotherapy Undergraduate students during the tournament to provide the players with pre-game warm up, post-game relaxation and other rehabilitation advice to safeguard the players' performance and health conditions.
Dr Tiffany CHOI, Programme Leader of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy at the S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences, SFU, said at the press conference on 4 June 2025 that this is a win-win partnership, as not only will it support the players, but also the students will be able to gain valuable experience by participating in the tournament, thus fulfilling the education belief of Learning in Practice and Contributing to the Community.
The tournament, which will be held from September this year to April next year, is open to the public with a maximum of 60 men's teams and 16 women's teams.
