The Saint Francis University (SFU) will launch a new Postgraduate Diploma in Private Banking and Family Office (Part-time) (PgD-PBFO) programme in the 2025-26 academic year. Scholars from the Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management, Prof Susana YUEN, the Dean; and Mr Dixon WONG, Associate Professor of Practice cum Programme Leader PgD-PBFO, were interviewed by the media recently to introduce the contents and features of the new programme.
Prof YUEN said that the programme is designed to meet the market needs of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, and covers a wide range of content including wealth management, tax planning, family governance and corporate succession, with an emphasis on the integration of theory and practice, and through close collaboration with industry experts and organisations, to ensure that students are equipped with advance knowledge and practical skills.
Mr WONG added that the programme focuses on three core features including International Vision, Practical Projects and Cross-industry Collaborations, aiming at nurturing professionals who are able to cope with the challenges of globalisation. In addition to theory, the programme also allows students to experience the operation of private banking and family offices through simulations, site visits and seminars, so that students can meet the real challenges of the industry during the learning process.
