Saint Francis University (SFU) has signed MoU with the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) to broaden further study pathways for elite athletes. Scholarship Athletes nominated by the HKSI will be eligible to apply for SFU's designated full-time bachelor's degree, sub-degree and diploma programmes, covering humanities and languages, business, social sciences, health sciences and technology. SFU will also offer flexible study arrangements to accommodate athletes' training and competition needs, supporting their dual career development and helping them plan for diverse future pathways.

SFU Renews MoU with SF&OC

Saint Francis University (SFU) has renewed its MoU with the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), extending the "Outstanding Hong Kong Athletes Nomination Scheme" for Higher Education for another five academic years through 2030/31. The scheme provides retired athletes and those planning to retire with more diverse pathways for further education. Eligible athletes recommended by HKACED may apply for designated SFU programmes from diploma to master's degree level, spanning health sciences, social sciences, humanities and languages, technology, and business management. SFU will also offer application fee waivers, interview opportunities, flexible study arrangements, and scholarship support.

Sai Kung Basketball League

Sai Kung Basketball League took place from July to November 2025. SFU Basketball Team won the 2nd Runner-Up.

26th Jackie Chan Challenge Cup 2025

The 26th Jackie Chan Challenge Cup 2025 took place on 4, 11 & 25 October 2025. SFU Table Tennis Team won the 2nd Runner-Up of Men's & Women's Competition.

SFU Signs MoU with Sai Kung District Sports Association

The purpose of this memorandum of Understanding is to establish a framework for cooperation between Saint Francis University and Sai Kung District Sports Association in launching new sports teams and organizing sports activities within the Sai Kung District. This collaboration aims to promote the concept of "University in the Community, Community in the University" through sports.

CIHE & CBCC Joint Graduation Ceremony 2022

Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC) Joint Graduation Ceremony had been held on January 2023. A total of 1,023 graduates from both institutes obtained their degrees and diplomas and commenced their new journeys.

Graduation is not an end but another start of a journey. CIHE & CBCC share the joyfulness with our fellow graduates and wish them a brighter future. It is hoped that our graduates would continue their success with our motto – Ad Destinatum Persequor in their hearts. We also open our doors for the return of the alumni.

Opening Mass of 2022/2023 School Year

We are glad to have the Opening Mass with Rev. Joseph Yim, the Chief Executive of Caritas - Hong Kong cum the Vice-Chairperson of the School Council. Pray that students can have normal classes and have a meaningful and joyful school life in the 2022/2023 academic year.

School Principal and Teachers from Newman Catholic College visiting CIHE & CBCC

School principal and teachers from Newman Catholic College visited CIHE&CBCC campuses on their Teachers' Development Day on 26 March 2021. The Day started with an introductory speech by Dr. Kat LEUNG, Vice-President of CIHE, followed by campus tours and visit to teaching facilities such as laboratories of Physiotherapy, Nursing and Artificial Intelligence programmes. This allowed teachers to better understand the articulation pathways and programmes offered by CIHE&CBCC.

COVID-19 Webinars Series – 「轉危為機 – 疫境增值」

From 6 to 13 July, Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management and Career Centre had jointly organized 8 free webinars. A total of 8 renowned guest speakers were invited to share the view of the impacts of COVID-19 on the Hong Kong and Global economy and business survival, and gave advices to the participants who come from various industries as well as the fresh graduates.

“Zooming Home!” organized by Student Affairs Office

To enhance engagement with CIHE&CBCC students, Student Affairs Office held a series of online live sessions via Zoom during March to May. Staff members were invited to share and interact with students on different topics. Sessions include:

7/7 CIHE "Pray-ground"

On 7/7 2019 CIHE held its first ever CIHE "Pray-ground", a community event gathering students, parents and parishioners alike to show our support to the HKDSE students prior to their result release day.

Approximately 450 people join this fun-filled Sunday afternoon, and our campus was transformed into a "pray-ground" completed with mini game booths, art workshops and a seminar on adolescent psychology. Accompanied by our honoured guests Catholic Artistes Ms Maggie Chan and Mr Chan Wing Chun, Fr. Dominic Chan led the opening ceremony, which included the lighting of the "Wall of Blessings" donated by our alumni Mr. and Mrs. Lee. It was followed by personal sharings of our esteemed guests on handling life challenges. After which Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha came and celebrated special mass, dedicated to all HKDSE students and their families. The day ended with a concert organized by Christ Youth Action and Freeup Music.

Many thanks to all our partners who dedicated their time and efforts, making this event a great success and all the best to all HKDSE students in their future academic pursuits!

CBCC Design Week 2019

Career Fair 2019 (22 Mar 2019)

More than 250 DYJ, sub-degree and CIHE&CBCC students, as well as 30 employers visited CIHE campus to join todays' Career Fair! Students who aspired to pursue further studies showed interest in CIHE&CBCC "2+2" articulation pathway and scholarship schemes, and many of them submitted on-site application for admission. Employers from various sectors (e.g. commerical, government, charitable institutions) had a great time with participating students, sharing career prospect in their own sectors.

2018 CIHE & CBCC Information Day (9-10 Nov 2018)

The Information Day of CIHE and CBCC was successfully held on 9 and 10 November 2018. Over 600 visitors including students, teachers and parents participated in a wide range of activities organised by our Schools and Departments such as admission talks, consultation sessions, campus tours, themed seminars, workshops and demonstrations.

Visit by the Federations of Parent-Teacher Associations of 18 Districts (6 Oct 2018)

The delegation from the Federations of Parent-Teacher Associations of 18 Districts paid a visit to CIHE & CBCC on 6 Oct 2018, learning more about our programmes as well as our teaching and learning facilities. Spending a morning at our campus, they mingled and had luncheon with our academic staff members.

Design Fashion Show 2018 (6 Jul 2018)

We are pleased to learn that the CIHE campus has won the Merit award at Quality Building Award 2018 under Hong Kong Non-Residential category (New Building - Government, Institution or Community) !

CIHE has received HK$5 million donations in support of two professorships

On 6 June 2018, CIHE has received HK$5 million donations from Alfar Charitable Fund and GS Charity Foundation respectively in support of two professorships in the School of Business and Hospitality Management.

Alfar Charitable Trust also made a one-off donation of HK$1 million to set up a scholarship for students in need to complete their 4-year degree programmes.
