SFU Garnering Community Support to Nurture Young Talent

Saint Francis University (SFU) established the SFU Community and held an Inauguration Ceremony cum Thanksgiving Reception to mark the second anniversary of its retitling. The establishment of the Community garners cross-sector support for the University's development and talent cultivation.

The ceremony was officiated by His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Chow Sau Yan, S.J., Chairperson of the SFU Board of Governors and Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, with Mr Chris Sun, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, gracing the event as the Guest of Honour. Mr Chris Sun affirmed SFU's vital role in nurturing future professionals to meet Hong Kong's development needs.

SFU President Professor Stephen Cheung, remarked that the University will continue to uphold its motto of "Strive for Self-Excellence" and consolidate its role as a University of Applied Sciences.

Moving forward, we will further strengthen industry partnerships to advance teaching, research, and knowledge transfer, with a commitment to nurturing a new generation of talent equipped with professional competence, a spirit of service, and social responsibility.
