Two scholars from the Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management at Saint Francis University (SFU) received the Outstanding Paper Award (Third Place) at the Global Hospitality and Tourism Research Summit in Fukuoka, Japan, during 15-18 May 2025.
The theme of the research paper is "Boosters, Decliners, or Invariants: Preliminary Results on the Impact of Travel on Well-being", and was written by Dr Michael LAI Assistant Professor, SFU, Dr Emmy YEUNG, Senior Lecturer, The University of Chester, UK, and Dr Ken IP, Assistant Professor, SFU. This study challenges conventional wisdom by exploring whether tourism genuinely enhances well-being.
