The Programme aims to provide an opportunity for students to acquire professional training in social work at Higher Diploma level. To this end, the Programme is designed to equip students with both social work theories and practical skills, and to develop their commitment to the welfare of service users and the community. Upon completion of the Programme, students will become qualified social work professionals who are caring and responsible individuals in direct practice in human service settings. Besides developing students‟ competence as social workers, the Programme also aims at establishing a foundation necessary for graduates of the Programme to advance academically through further studies.
