Mission and objectives

 

The CYRC strives to stay at the forefront of research, intervention, and collaboration to play a pivotal role in promoting the holistic development of children and youth.

1. Conducting Research:
       Conduct systematic, coordinated, comparative, and cutting-edge research that investigates the root causes of children and youth issues and problems, using appropriate theoretical perspectives and frameworks.
       Pioneer, develop, and/or validate intervention programs that can effectively tackle a wide range of issues and problems and address the unique needs of specific target groups.
       Evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of service projects or models organized by the educational and/or welfare sectors.
       Inform community stakeholders and government departments with relevant research data to facilitate appropriate policy or service decisions.

 

2. Collaboration and Exchange:
       Promote exchange and collaboration with academics and educators, helping professionals, policymakers, parents, and young people through conferences, seminars, and workshops.

 

3. Dissemination of Knowledge:
       Disseminate valuable information related to children and youth for local and overseas scholars, teachers, journalists, government departments, students, and the public.
