Core Areas of Expertise

Dr Szeto’s expertise integrates environmental psychology, media psychology, and social psychology to examine how identities are constructed, negotiated, and expressed. Her work focuses particularly on environmental identity construction, identity motives, and social media use.

Her research employs qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, including interpretative phenomenological analysis, to understand psychological and behavioural processes.
