I am a Senior Lecturer of the Felizberta Lo Padilla Tong School of Social Sciences. Before I joined the social work education, I was a social worker in various rehabilitation services, such as service for the visually impaired, funding support for disabled students and service for people with intellectual disability etc. Later on, I worked in a pioneer project in Hong Kong, which was targeting seven high risk communities for HIV/AIDS prevention. In 1997, I started to join the social work education as fieldwork instructor in various universities, such as the City University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
I completed my Diploma in Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. And I have my Master in Social Work and Master of Science (in Geriatric Orthopaedics) completed in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am a registered social worker since the completion of my professional social work training.
In community participation, I have been involving in the self-help development since 2000. I am one of the founders of the Self Help Development Centre and now its Board Chairman.
