The Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management is pleased to share that BBA (Marketing and Event Management) student Ho Tsz Yu (Otto) and his team FLOWSTATE received First Prize at the Global Sustainability Challenge 2025/26 Asia-Pacific Regional Final, held at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou.
Organised by Stanford University's Doerr School of Sustainability, the Global Sustainability Challenge brings together students worldwide to develop innovative, real-world solutions to pressing sustainability challenges. Otto's team was shortlisted from a global pool of over 845 teams and 3,000 participants, and went on to compete among 67 finalist teams across the Asia-Pacific region, representing leading universities including NUS, NTU, HKU, HKUST, and Zhejiang University.
FLOWSTATE was recognised as one of the top-performing teams (ranked 11–18) at the Regional Final for its decentralised water solution.
This achievement reflects the School's strong emphasis on applied learning, sustainability, and global exposure, as well as the growing support ecosystem provided through the Innovative Incubation Centre, which continues to empower students to translate ideas into meaningful, real-world impact. We congratulate Otto and his team on this well-deserved recognition.
