S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences (SHS) offers a comprehensive health sciences education pathway, offering programmes from Diploma and Higher Diploma to Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees. Committed to training practice-oriented professionals to alleviate workforce shortages in healthcare, the School also implements community service initiatives, including: CommunityHealth@SFU, Caritas St. Francis Pharmacy, the CIHE Lions Club Diabetes Service Station, and the Physiotherapy Integrated Clinical Education Centre (ICEC). These initiatives provide the public with professional, high quality medical services while enhancing students' hands-on learning experiences.

Whether students choose to continue their studies at SFU, other Hong Kong institutions, or internationally, our professionally designed curriculum and comprehensive articulation pathways equip them with a robust foundation for academic and career success. 

Career Prospects

Each year, SHS provides over a thousand professionals to society. Graduates can work in both public and private sectors. Qualified Nursing or Physiotherapy graduates can apply to become Registered /Enrolled Nurses or Physiotherapists, respectively. Graduates from other professional programmes can pursue careers as dispensers or healthcare workers, among others. 

Further Education

Graduates holding a Bachelor's degree may apply for SFU's Master of Nursing and Allied Health (MNAH) programme or pursue other postgraduate degrees (MPhil/PhD) at local institutions. Those with a Higher Diploma or Diploma can utilize SFU's articulation pathways to continue their studies at our institution or apply for programmes at other local/overseas universities. 

Further Studies Abroad

SHS has signed credit transfer agreements with multiple overseas universities. After completing the Higher Diploma programmes at SFU, students can directly transfer credits to partner universities abroad, enabling a seamless transition to bachelor's degree programmes, such as the Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of South Australia.
