Dr YUEN Cho-lam

Biography

Dr Yuen joined the Caritas Institute of Higher Education in 2020. He has served as a part-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Hong Kong Community College and the UOW College Hong Kong, and as a part-time demonstrator at the University of Hong Kong.

Teaching

In the past, Dr Yuen taught courses on classical Chinese literature, modern Chinese language, and practical writing.

The courses currently taught include "LPHL301 Classical Chinese", "LPHL302 Classical Chinese Literature", "LCH402 Chinese Writing for Social Sciences", "LCH403 Chinese Writing Skills for Social Sciences", "GE028 Appreciation of Classical Chinese Fiction", etc. 

Research

Dr Yuen's research scope includes Tang Dynasty literature, Ming and Qing Dynasty literature, and overseas dissemination of Chinese literature.
