Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies
Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies
Objectives
The Government introduced the Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS) starting from the 2025-26 academic year to attract more local students to pursue advanced studies in priority areas conducive to the development of Hong Kong and expand the pool of high-calibre talents for various domains. EDB has selected the Master of Corporate Governance (MCG) at Saint Francis University (SFU) and allocated a total of 12 scholarship places to nurture future talents in supporting Hong Kong as an international trading and financial centre.
Scholarship Amount
Tuition Waiver of up to HK$100,000 per eligible student for the entire programme.
Eligibility
- Applications are open to local students in Hong Kong who are enrolled in the Master of Corporate Governance Programme at Saint Francis University.
- The selection of scholarship awardees will be based on merit, considering applicants' academic achievements, professional qualifications (such as ACCA, CPA, CGI, CIMA, and membership in the Hong Kong Bar Association and The Law Society of Hong Kong), as well as relevant work experience and accomplishments, all supported by appropriate documentation.
- All scholarship awardees must sign a written undertaking committing to work in Hong Kong/ or the Greater Bay Area in relevant sectors post-graduation.
- Applicants are required to submit their application, which must include a personal statement (1,000 words) detailing how they would contribute to Hong Kong as an international trading and financial centre after completing the programme, and their commitment to join relevant industries or sectors in Hong Kong (or the Greater Bay Area) upon graduation.
- Two recommendation letters (academic/ professional) are also required.
- Applications from students who have received other government scholarships, including the Continuing Education Fund (excluding student financial assistance), for the same programme will not be considered to avoid "double benefit".
