Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a Master's/MPhil degree in Social Sciences, computer sciences or a related discipline; (ii) solid training in research methods, using SPSS, AI and other softwares; (iii) English and Chinese proficiency.

An appointee will be selected to take care of three different disciplines respectively (i.e., Accounting & Finance / Corporate Administration; Entrepreneurship / Management; Hotel & Tourism / Marketing). He or she will be responsible for assisting with administrative and coordinating tasks for the research projects. Responsibilities include: (a) conducting literature review; (b) collecting data and performing data analysis; (c) managing and updating existing databases; (d) preparing reports; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognised Bachelor's degree or above; (b) relevant research experience in the handling of data analysis and good knowledge such as SPSS, SQL and MS Access; (c) good at communication and interpersonal skill; (d) positive attitude with good team spirit; (e) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in:

1. designing, assembling and calibrating IoT sensor nodes (MEMS accelerometers, strain gauges, inclinometers, anemometers, GNSS/IMU units) and their wireless data-acquisition and edge-computing hardware;
2. deploying and maintaining monitoring instrumentation on laboratory crane prototypes and on-site tower cranes, including wiring, power, communications and enclosure work;
3. developing embedded firmware and data pipelines for real-time acquisition, transmission, storage and visualisation of vibration and structural response data; and
4. performing other project-related duties as assigned.

Applicants should have:

• an honours degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline (a Master's/MPhil degree will be an advantage);
• practical experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers and sensors (e.g. Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32), sensor interfacing and IoT communication protocols (Wi-Fi, LoRa, MQTT, 4G/5G);
• competence in signal processing and data analysis using Python and/or MATLAB;
• the ability to work independently, carry out laboratory and field work, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems systematically; and
• a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), with strong technical report-writing skills.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators under Caregiving Research and Development Centre. His/her task will include

(i) assisting in the preparation of research proposals, funding applications, ethics submissions and project reports;

(ii) conducting literature reviews, designing research instruments and coordinating research projects;

(iii) conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis using software such as NVivo and SPSS;

(iv) arranging and conducting interviews and focus groups, as well as designing survey questionnaires;

(v) drafting research manuscripts and presentation materials for conferences and journals;

(vi) assisting in the development of operational manuals, training materials and reports;

(vii) supporting event planning and project-related activities; and

(viii) performing other duties as assigned.

The appointee will assist in the research project on: (a) administrative and coordinating work (b) collecting data and pre-processing them for experiments; (c) recruiting participants in experiments; (d) annotating data; (e) managing and updating datasets; (f) preparing reports; and (g) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized Bachelor's degree in humanities field; (b) solid research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English; and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will support the Principal Investigator in a research project aimed at "Development and evaluation of a Chatbot to Enhance Clinical Learning in Nursing Students".
The appointee will be responsible to assist administrative and coordinating work for the research project. Tasks include: (a) arranging the research study; (b) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (c) preparing reports; (d) organizing seminars and workshops; (d) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should (i) have a recognised Bachelor's Degree; (ii) have relevant research experience in the handling of data entry, transcription and utilizing SPSS software analysis; (iii) be able to work independently, attention to detail with positive working attitude; and (iv) have good communication skills and fluency in English and Chinese.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a research project aimed how capitals affect students' engagement with GenAI tools and their academic performance on: (a) review and conduct literature review; (b) recruiting participants; (c) perform quantitative data analysis (d) prepare materials for conference presentations and publications; (e) handle relevant administrative tasks; (f) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized bachelor's degree or above in social sciences or a related discipline, preferably in the area of Psychology and/or Sociology; (b) solid research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude, responsible, self-motivated and ability to work independently; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken English; (f) proficiency in using analytical tools (e.g., SPSS or R).

The appointee is mainly required to assist in an innovative research project entitled 'An Integrative Psychosocial Study and Service Outcome Evaluation for Students with Special Educational Needs.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator, the Co-investigators and the team in conducting the research tasks, including: (a) reviewing literature; (b) conducting large-scale mixed-method research; (c) coordinating with research team members and collaborating partners; (d) collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data; (e) conducting in-depth interviews; (f) compiling research reports and high-impact peer-reviewed journal articles; (g) supervising research assistants, and (h) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should (i) have a recognised Master's degree or above in Social Sciences / Applied Psychology / Statistics / Computer or Data Science; (ii) with at least five years of relevant research experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, a track record of publications will be considered an advantage; (iii) familiar with procedures of research adopting randomized controlled trial and/or mixed-methods; (iv) have knowledge in data analytic software, including SPSS and NVivo, knowledge in Statistical modeling will be considered an advantage; (v) able to work independently, have an investigative nature and an analytical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to synthesize research into clear, compelling outputs; and (vi) have good communication skills and fluency in English and Chinese.

The appointee will support a project that aims to explore nurses' perspectives on promoting advanced directives and assess their capacity to manage end-of-life care and related issues. Responsibilities include (a) coordinating activities, (b) collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, (c) reviewing the relevant literature, (d) providing administrative support, (e) assisting the research team in preparing research reports, and (f) performing any other duties assigned by the project leader.

The appointee will support the Principal Investigator in a research project aimed at collecting data from South Asian communities. Irregular working hours and/or weekend work may be required, particularly for data collection

The appointee will be responsible to:

1. conduct literature review;
2. recruit research participants and conduct in-depth interviews;
3. perform qualitative data analysis and compile research reports;
4. prepare materials for conference presentations and publications;
5. handle relevant administrative tasks;

Applicants should:

The appointee will be responsible to assist staff members within the School to conduct administrative and coordinating research activities and research projects. Tasks include: (a) literature search, (b) coordinating research work, (c) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (d) preparing reports; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.

The appointees will (a) assist the work of system construction and maintenance of the project; (b) help with the teaching of computer-related courses of the programmes of the School; and (c) perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science or relevant fields; (b) familiarity with database management tools (such as SQL, MS Access, etc.); (c) knowledge and skills of programming (such as Python); (d) proficiency in image technology; and (e) able to work independently.

The appointee will assist in the research project on "Mental health literacy, psychological well-being and healthy ageing perceptions of community-based older adults with low to mild distress in Hong Kong: A mixed methods study". The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in:

• Recruitment of research participants from the community;
• Obtaining consent documents and data collection including administering surveys;
• Conducting semi-structured interviews and transcribing audio recordings;
• Performing basic quantitative data analysis using SPSS and preliminary qualitative thematic analysis;
• Working mainly in SFU and visiting NGO centres (if required); and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by PI. 

• A recognized bachelor's degree or above in Nursing, health science or a related discipline;
• 1-2 years of research experience and knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research;
• Prior experience of conducting statistical analysis and thematic analysis
• Have a good interpersonal and communication skills; and
• Be able to work independently.

The appointee is mainly required to assist in a 5-year innovative service-research project entitled 'Meta-S: An Integrative Psychosocial Study and Service Outcome Evaluation for Students with Special Educational Needs'.

The appointee will assist in the research project on: (a) administrative and coordinating work (b) collecting data and pre-processing them for experiments; (c) recruiting participants in experiments; (d) annotating data; (e) managing and updating datasets; (f) preparing reports; and (g) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a recognized Bachelor's degree in humanities field; (b) solid research experience; (c) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (d) positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; (e) proficiency in both written and spoken English; and (f) proficiency in computer applications.

The appointee will be responsible to assist with the administrative duties and conduction of the research project. Tasks include: (a) literature review; (b) making arrangement to ensure a smooth research study; (c) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (d) preparing publications and reports; and (e) performing other assigned duties.

Applicants should have (i) a bachelor's degree or above in health sciences or healthcare-related disciplines; (ii) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of mixed-methods research and survey design; (iii) knowledge in public health, community health and primary healthcare; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and (v) good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.  Those with 3 years' relevant experience or more may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

The appointees will be responsible for various tasks relating to the Chinese culture project, which include (a) coordinating research design; (b) overseeing data collection and analysis; (c) writing academic publications and reports; (d) editing book series and academic journals; (e) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a doctoral degree in the humanities or relevant fields; (b) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of qualitative research; (c) strong background in research; (d) ability to work independently; (e) proficiency in writing in English and Chinese; (f) proficiency in communication and presentation skills.

The appointees will (a) assist the work of painting, drawing, animation, video production, and photography relating to the Chinese culture project; (b) assist the work of data collection and analysis; and (c) perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in the humanities or relevant fields; (b) knowledge and skills of computer graphics; and (c) have good communication skills and sense of responsibility.

Research Assistant: the appointee will be responsible to assist various tasks for the research projects. Tasks include: (a) conducting literature review; (b) collecting and data analyzing; (c) preparing reports; (d) writing and contributing to publications; (e) performing other duties as assigned.

Research Fellow / Research Associate: the appointee will be responsible various tasks for the research projects. Tasks include: (a) coordinating research design, (b) liaising with industrial parties and institutions; (c) organizing seminars and workshops; (d) overseeing data collection, analysis and management; (e) writing academic publications and reports; (f) editing book series, newsletter and journal; (g) teaching courses in the humanities; (h) performing other duties as assigned.

Research Assistant: Applicants should have a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in relevant fields; b) familiarity with database management tools (such as SQL, MS Access, etc.); (c) knowledge of programming tools (such as Python and C++) would be a plus; d) have good communication skills and sense of responsibility.

Research Associate / Research Fellow: Applicants should have a) a doctoral degree in the humanities, computer science or other related disciplines; b) strong background in research methodology; (c) able to work independently; d) proficiency in writing and speaking in English and Chinese; (e) have good communication and presentation skills.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
