Prof. Alice Chong Ming Lin

背景简介

庄明莲教授，现任香港明爱专上学院汤罗凤贤社会科学院研究教授 。她投身社会工作（尤其是社会老年学）的实务、管理、研究及教学超过四十多年。其中廿八年她乃香港城市大学的学者，教授及社会工作专业领导。她曾于2005至2010年期间出任人文社会科学院 副院长(学生生活与学习），亦为香港中文大学赛马会公共卫生及基层医疗学院兼任教授 (2018-2022)。她曾任劳工及福利局高级研究主任 (2019-2022) ，致力研究福利及劳工政策 。

庄教授是一位着名的社会老年学家，亦深入研究照顾者需要、死亡学，及以学生为本的教学法。她荣获超过四千万港元的研究基金以进行约60项研究，并出版90多篇学术论文，及在90多个国际及地区会议中发言。

庄教授十分热衷社会服务，分别担任数间志愿机构的董事局成员、副主席或主席。她获香港特别行政区政府邀请加入不同的专责委员会，例如「安老事务委员会」，「社区投资共享基金委员会」，「携手扶弱基金谘询委员会」，「公共图书馆谘询委员会」，「老有所为委员会」，「长者学苑发展基金委员会」，及「公众集会及游行上诉委员会」等。她亦获选为「香港社会工作教育院校协会」的创会会长。

庄教授获奖无数，例如于2013年获香港特别行政区政府颁授「荣誉勋章」，以表扬她对推动社会资本及安老服务的贡献。庄明莲教授对教学充满热诚，积极投入，除荣获2012-13年度香港城市大学「卓越教学奖」外，更难能可贵的是在全港大学的教学评审中，获「大学教育资助委员会」颁予2013年度教资会「杰出教学奖」。
