Prof. Alice Chong Ming Lin
背景简介
庄明莲教授,现任香港明爱专上学院汤罗凤贤社会科学院研究教授 。她投身社会工作(尤其是社会老年学)的实务、管理、研究及教学超过四十多年。其中廿八年她乃香港城市大学的学者,教授及社会工作专业领导。她曾于2005至2010年期间出任人文社会科学院 副院长(学生生活与学习),亦为香港中文大学赛马会公共卫生及基层医疗学院兼任教授 (2018-2022)。她曾任劳工及福利局高级研究主任 (2019-2022) ,致力研究福利及劳工政策 。
庄教授是一位着名的社会老年学家,亦深入研究照顾者需要、死亡学,及以学生为本的教学法。她荣获超过四千万港元的研究基金以进行约60项研究,并出版90多篇学术论文,及在90多个国际及地区会议中发言。
庄教授十分热衷社会服务,分别担任数间志愿机构的董事局成员、副主席或主席。她获香港特别行政区政府邀请加入不同的专责委员会,例如「安老事务委员会」,「社区投资共享基金委员会」,「携手扶弱基金谘询委员会」,「公共图书馆谘询委员会」,「老有所为委员会」,「长者学苑发展基金委员会」,及「公众集会及游行上诉委员会」等。她亦获选为「香港社会工作教育院校协会」的创会会长。
庄教授获奖无数,例如于2013年获香港特别行政区政府颁授「荣誉勋章」,以表扬她对推动社会资本及安老服务的贡献。庄明莲教授对教学充满热诚,积极投入,除荣获2012-13年度香港城市大学「卓越教学奖」外,更难能可贵的是在全港大学的教学评审中,获「大学教育资助委员会」颁予2013年度教资会「杰出教学奖」。

Professor Chong's research interests include social gerontology, caregiving, end of life issues, as well as teaching and learning. She has been awarded nearly 60 research grants including 39 competitive research grants and 8 consultancy / contract research, amounting to a total of more than HK$40 millions research grants.
Professor Chong is a reviewer for General Research Grant (GRF), Public Policy Research and several prestige Journals.
