Duties
  1. Provide support for teaching, research and service to the School of Health Sciences in the nursing and other health-care courses.
  2. Follow school directions for nursing skills laboratory station set-up and aftercare of supplies/equipment in all teaching, skills assessment and students' self-practice
  3. Assist in the setting up, operation and maintenance of the equipment required for teaching / learning activities including manikins, simulation models, patient-care equipment and other computing / audio visual facilities.

Duties The Public Affairs Office (PAO) manages the promotion and public relations activities of the institute including admission and recruitment, branding and marketing, media and public relations, and other public affairs. The PAO plans and implements policies, guidelines, and processes for these activities, oversees resource allocation, and monitors the production and quality of promotional materials. Duties The appointee is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support in the Registry with a focus on student services and records. Leading a small team of professionals, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in developing editorial content, managing media relations, and executing communications strategies across various platforms, in alignment with the University's strategic goals and branding objectives. He/ She will serve as a gatekeeper and chief editor of Public Affairs Office.
Duties

The appointee will be required to:

  • Develop and implement the Public Affairs Office's corporate communications strategy;

Duties

Part-time Physiotherapy Laboratory Technician, S. K. Yee School of Health Sciences (Ref: 25/110/HS/LT)
Duties
  1. Provide support for teaching, research and service to the Physiotherapy Programme, S. K. Yee School of Health Sciences, performing regular maintenance and upkeep of all facilities in running order in the laboratories.
  2. Maintain the daily operation of the physiotherapy laboratories and managing the inventory of the facilities and equipment in the laboratories.
  3. Assist in the setting up, operation and maintenance of the computing, audio visual and other teaching equipment for teaching and learning activities.
  4. Perform general housekeeping in physiotherapy laboratories.
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of S. K. Yee School of Health Sciences or his delegates.

 

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on Saturdays and Sundays due to specific operational requirements

Appointment Criteria
  • Five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics;
  • Good computer knowledge and experience in using application software such as MS Office, photo/video editing software and e-learning system, etc.; and
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); have good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Possession of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant Certificate and/or relevant work experience with physiotherapists in hospitals, private practices, or non-governmental organizations is preferred.

Temporary Clinical Instructor (5 -12 months contract), S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences (Ref: 25/06/HS/CI)
Duties
  1. Conduct coaching, teaching and assessment to nursing students on delivery of patient care in clinical / laboratory settings such as hospital or clinic and communicate with clinical staff to create optimal clinical experiences for the students;
  2. Evaluate nursing students in clinical / laboratory settings and provide feedback to the students on their performance;
  3. Advise nursing students on clinical and educational problems by providing professional insight using personal nursing experiences, helping students solve problems on their own, as well as strengthening the educational experience for students;
  4. The appointee may work under different schedules due to specific operational requirements, including weekday evenings and weekends.

*Please note that this is a FULL-TIME basis position with a 5–12-month contract period.

Appointment Criteria
  1. A relevant Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other academic qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent;
  2. Have a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate (General / Psychiatric) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
  3. At least 3 years' relevant post-registration clinical experience ; and
  4. Preferably with teaching experience.
