Dean of Students (Ref: 24/90/DS)
Duties
  1. Represent the University in the wider community and university campus on matters pertaining to student development;
  2. Develop student development policies related to national security, value education, sexual harassment, student discipline and student co-curricular activities;
  3. Provide all-rounded support to individual students, as well as to meet those who have faced tragedy, violated the laws, received disciplinary actions from the university because of misconducts, or engaged in any other special circumstances that warrant the attention and intervention from senior management;
  4. Review and handle student discipline and complaint cases that may require appropriate actions in compliance with the University policies and procedures;
  5. Apply external fundings and seek donations for the implementation of student development activities;
  6. Conduct research on student development; and   
  7. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Provost.
Appointment Criteria
  1. A PhD with distinguished academic record and at the rank of Associate Professor or above;
  2. Solid experience in student affairs, especially in a leadership role at university level;
  3. Demonstrated commitment to student development, diversity, and inclusive excellence; and
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build effective partnerships.

Associate Vice-President (Institutional Advancement) (Ref: 24/89/AVP/IA)
Duties
  1. Strategic Leadership: The AVP plays a crucial role in setting fundraising goals, developing strategies, and ensuring that the Institutional Advancement Office's activities support the university mission and objectives;
  2. Donor Cultivation, Stewardship, Segmentation & Personalization, and Donor Engagement: The AVP prospects philanthropic donors & supporters through networking referral, establishes and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals, influential alumni, corporate partners & foundations, and philanthropic organizations & foundations. It also includes promoting and creating legacy giving;
  3. Board and Volunteer Engagement: The AVP's expertise and relationship-building skills can strengthen the board's fundraising capabilities and leverage their networks and resources for fundraising success;
  4. Fundraising Strategy and Planning: The AVP oversees the formulation of fundraising goals, determine funding priorities, and identify appropriate fundraising methodologies and approaches;
  5. Institutional Advancement: The AVP collaborates with colleagues in marketing, communications, alumni relations, and other Schools / Departments to create integrated campaigns and initiatives that enhance the university's brand, visibility, and philanthropic support. It includes program development and facility development;
  6. Campaign Planning, Partnerships and Collaborations: This includes setting campaign goals, developing solicitation strategies, developing collaborative programs or initiatives, leveraging shared resources and expertise to maximize impact, and coordinating campaign volunteers and staff;
  7. In-Kind Donations: This includes securing in-kind donations such as equipment, supplies, pro bono services, or volunteer support;
  8. Image and Branding: This includes developing marketing and branding strategies to shape public perception and increase awareness of the office's missions and impact;
  9. Ethical Fundraising Practice: This includes ensuring that fundraising activities align with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining donor privacy, and providing accurate and timely reporting on the use of funds.
Appointment Criteria
  1. An earned doctoral degree;
  2. A proven track record in fundraising;
  3. Management experience at a senior level and knowledge of higher education, with strong leadership and people skills;
  4. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Director/Associate Director of Quality Assurance Office (Ref: 24/21/QAO/D)
Duties

The Director/Associate Director of Quality Assurance Office (QAO) is responsible for assisting the Vice-President (Academic and Quality Assurance) and Associate Vice-President (Quality Assurance) in (i) ensuring effective enforcement and implementation of the Quality Assurance (QA) policies and systems of the University/College; (ii) overseeing the operations of the QAO, including staff management, resource allocation, workflow coordination, and data management; (iii) liaising with academic units in programme management and programme review matters, ensuring timely submission of responses to meet external accreditation and requirements of professional bodies ; (iv) coordinating survey/ analysis exercises for production of QA reports and relevant documentations and quality enhancement purposes; (v) reviewing QA record-related matters regularly for continuous enhancement of QA schemes and processes; (vi) managing the contents of the QAO's staff portal, student portal and website for sharing of information with relevant internal and external parties; and (vii) performing other duties assigned by the Vice-President (Academic and Quality Assurance) and/or the Associate Vice President (Quality Assurance).

Applicants should have (i) a proven track record in quality assurance; (ii) management experience at a senior level and knowledge of higher education; (iii) preferably an earned doctoral degree, and leadership and people skills; and (iv) excellent written and spoken communication skills.
