熊淑茹博士現為明愛專上學院健康科學學院教授。她在香港中文大學、香港理工大學和東華學院等多所高等教育機構任教逾二十五年。熊博士擁有豐富的教學經驗,主要教授本科和研究生護理課程。
在高等教育機構擔任教員之前,她擁有約十五年的臨床護理經驗。此外,她還參加了本地和海外的災難、緊急和創傷護理培訓、虛擬現實和模擬課程。熊博士亦積極參與各種專業培訓和社區義工服務。
熊博士的研究興趣源於她豐富的急診護理經驗,專注於急診科專業護士提供的臨終和喪親護理。她擴展了她的研究興趣,以探索災難教育和醫療護理專業人員和公眾心理健康的有效性。提升未來專業護士應對突發公共衛生事件和災難事件的能力,為廣大群眾提供心理和生命支持。
