Prof. Graeme D. Smith
Professor Graeme D. Smith has been a Professor of Nursing in the S.K. Yee School of Health Sciences since 2018. He is currently the co-convenor of the Community and Psychosocial research theme within the School. Professor Smith completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 1999, where he is a Professorial Fellow. He has been an Editor of the Journal of Advanced Nursing since 2022, previously editing Journal of Clinical Nursing for ten years. His current research interests include chronic illness, psychological health, resilience, health literacy and loneliness in older people. Based on his research output and citations in the last five years, he was named a Top Scholar in 2024 by ScholarGPS, ranking Professor Smith at #7 in the world for academic and scholarly clinical nursing research activities.
