背景簡介

Johnson obtained his Doctor of Health Science, Master of Science Manipulative Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a certified Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, a certified Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluator, a certified Aquaticist and an Acupuncture Practitioner. He also attained specialty training on dry needling, musculoskeletal ultrasound and 3-D motion analysis. Before Johnson joined the Caritas Institute of Higher Education, he was the team head of the services of 3-D motion analysis in the Prince of Wales Hospital. He also has extensive clinical experience in in-patient, out-patient, subacute and community rehabilitation.

教學

Johnson has taught therapists at different levels including Higher Diploma, Degree and Master’s students in the Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital. In additional to face-to-face mode of teaching, he also experienced teaching in distance education. These online courses included Principles of Physiotherapy Management for Patients with stroke, spinal cord injury and limb amputation.

His primary research interest is in the areas of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, 3-D motion analysis, dry needling and use of advanced technology in Physiotherapy.
